The strong man of Kwara Politics, Dr. Olusola Saraki have revealed that though he has settled his political differences with his son, Former Governor Bukola Saraki but there are still more issues on ground. According to the elder Saraki, the former governor and his sister, Gbemi have not settled their misunderstandings.
At a gathering, Saraki said, he left Nigeria after the last gubernatorial election for the United States of America. Four days later, Bukola came to visit him in Los Angeles, California. He apologized and also asked a lot of influential people to talk to him over the differences they had at the last election. I have to forgive him so that opposition would not break their political walls, he said. He also forgave him in the interest of peace and tranquility in the state.
Saraki also said that Gbemi is still angry at the moment but efforts would be made to settle the whole thing at the family level.
It would be recalled that Bukola (Who was the sitting governor of Kwara State)did not support his sister’s ambition to become the governor of Kwara State after him. Instead, he supported another person, who eventually became the winner. Gbemi, who was then a Senator left the Peoples Democratic Party to form another party, ACPN with her father and other party supporters.
