Patience Jonathan,Nigeria’s First Lady Gets Perm Sec Appointment in Bayelsa State

Nigeria’s first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has been appointed a permanent secretary in Bayelsa State.niyitabiti.net gathered that Mrs. Jonathan’s name was announced alongside 17 other newly appointed permanent secretaries by the Bayeslsa State government.

Those who made the list include Vivian Odiowei, J.E. Oye, Samson Ayibeboa,  Antonia Koroye, Ziwari Billie, Buruboyefa John, Dikuro Ayebameh, Serge Williams,Linnet Tebepah (she is the wife of  Chairman of NDDC), Tarilah Tebepah. Olu Kuruom, G.I.Izein, James Clinton,Philomena Alodie, Omietimi Kojo, Ese Izonebi, Ohougha Maythias, Moses Teibowei and  A. Samanyi.

Patience’s appointment was a suprise to political watchers in Nigeria and Bayelsa state in particular. Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa benefitted a great deal from President’s Goodluck Jonathan’s political structure in the state.

Media aide to the Bayelsa State governor, Daniel Iworiso-Markson confirmed the appointment.
