Ondo ACN berates Mimiko over alleged plan to rig election
Ahead of the Ondo state gubernatorial election scheduled to hold on October 20, the incubent governor of the state and candidate of the Labour Party has been accused of plans to rig the election. The allegation was made by Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) the Action Congress of Nigeria candidate.
Akeredolu through his canpaign office in Akure alleged that one Ayo Akintan, who works in the computer department is a willing tool in the hands of Mimiko and the Labour Party to manipulate the elction result. He called on the chairman of the Independent electoral commission,Professor Attahiru Jega to deal with Akintan.
Meanwhile Mimiko has called on indigenes of the state not to engage in political violence of the forthcoming election.The state governor who was addressing some party faithfuls said there is information on ground suggesting that some people wants to import arms,ammunitions and other weapons because of the election.
