Amadi Ogbonna Group Entertainment editor of Vanguard Newspapers is dead.News of the journalist’s death broke on Wednesday evening. Sources said he died after asthma attack.The attack started in the office and he was rushed to the hospital in Apapa, he died shortly after.
Journalists and friends of the Late Ogbonna have been lamenting the death of the journalist whose profile have been on the rise for over 20 years that he has been working with Vanguard Newspapers.Amadi was an all rounder and well connected in the entertainment.It is not a loss to the media alone, it is a great miss to the entire entertainment industry.

I cant forget Mr. Amadi….. he helped me locate my younger sister and Mum in 2006 after we had lost contact back in 1982 after my Dad’s death… he met my younger brother and offered to personally help us locate them by all means available to him…. he helped put our story under ‘Stories that touches the heart’ and in less that 2 weeks, my missing family members were found though we learnt Mum died as far back as 1985.. but thank God my younger sister was found and we live together till today. The story made front page in vanguard and he went as far taking us personally to introduce us the management staff and still interviewed us after the reunion…. he did not ask for a dime from me or my younger siblings.. I remember even visiting him in his home and we ate and watch football together….. Mr. Amadi, continue to rest in peace… God will console your wife and kids…!
