Ijeshaland deserves pipe borne water-Oba tells Aregbesola
The paramont ruler of Ijeshaland,Oba Adekunle Aromolaran told Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Governor of Osun state,that the town deserves pipeborne water.The traditional ruler said since he ascended the throne of his forefathers all he has been drinking is well water. ” It is not good that Ilesha would be as big as this yet the people would be drinking well water” Aromolaran said.
The king made the plea while speaking saturday at 2012 Iwude Festival in Ilesa. Aromolaran,however, extolled the virtures of Aregbesola,describing his tenure as peaceful and remarkable so far in the area of development.The oba also appealed to the Osun state government to dualised the road from Ilesa roundabouts to International Breweries.
In his speech,Aregbesola thanked the Aromolaran for his encouragement and support. However, he did not respond to the demand of the king.Aregbesola appealed to the citizens of the state to take agriculture very seriously.
Ilesa Iwude festival 2012 was well attended.Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe also known as K1 the Ultimate was on the band stand.
