Nollywood Actress Nkiru Sylvanus,Kenneth Okolie released

Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus and former Mr Nigeria Kenneth Okolie has been freed by their captors.The two entertainers were kidnapped by gunmen near Concorde Hotel,Owerri,Imo state, on their way from a social function.

The kidnappers who held Nkiru and Kenneth hostage allegedly demanded for N100 million ransome.But now that they have been released,there is no official statement yet whether they paid a ransome or not.Nkiru is a special assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Kidnapping has turned to ‘brisk business’ in Nigeria,especially in the East,which now account for more than 70 per cent of the kidnap cases being treated by the police.Just one day ago,Gistmaster gathered that friends of Nkiru Sylvanus and Kenneth Okolie wrote a letter to the Inspector General of Police,Alhaji MD Abubakar calling for intense investigation into the abduction of the two celebrities.

When the search for the whereabouts of Nkiru and Kenneth was frustrating,the Imo state government offered cash rewards to anyone who could give them useful information.
