Bisi Komolafe- life and times of a movie star
The death of Yoruba actress Bisi Komolafe came as a rude shock to many people in the entertainment industry who thought 2012 had ended.List of Nollywood stars who died in 2012 have the likes of Enebeli Elebuwa,Pete Eneh and Ashley Nwosu. The industry also lost great stars like Lekan Lekinson and James Iroha (Gringory).
Bisi Komolafe’s interment, according to a family source has been slated for Friday 4 January 2013. Most of her friends in the movie industry are expected to be part of the burial activities.
When the news filtered to town with screaming headlines “Bisi Komolafe is dead” on blogs and Black Berry messenger,it was a great shock and most people did not believe at first. But efforts were made by Gistmaster and others to confirm the news from inside sources in the movie industry.
It was a painful death because Bisi Komolafe was one of the most promising actresses in the industry. She reportedly died after staying for sometime at University College Hospital,Ibadan. No one knew exactly how she died, but some said she had pregnancy miscarriage and later medical complications that was not healed till she passed away.
She is one of those who paid their dues in the industry, within a short time. Aside being a fine girl,Bisi also interpreted her roles well. If you watch her movies such as Igbo ti daru produced by her and Lagos girls produced by Sunny Alli, you will appreciate her more.
When it comes to controversy, Bisi had her own share of it in the industry. But was way below the scorecard of most of her colleagues. At a time, the press reported her romance with her boss,Yinka Quadri of Odunfa Caucus. The romance later collapsed and moved on with her life. Her traditional marriage to Tunde Ijadunola,a Canadian based businessman later took place in Ibadan.
