Day after bloody attack,Emir of Kano Ado Bayero travels to UK
A day after a bloody attack in Nigeria, the emir of Kano, Ado Bayero has travelled to the UK.Sources claim the travel is both for security and medical purporses.Bayero is one of the most influential moslem leaders in Nigeria.
The attack on Bayero’s convoy left at least five persons dead, including his driver and bodyguards.They were caught unawares as unknown gunmen opened fire on them.The emir and two of his sons sustained injuries.
Security operatives disclosed that investigations have already started into the attack which is considered very embarrasing to the federal government of Nigeria.The attack on the emir is believed to have been carried out by Boko Haram, an islamist group that has been carrying out deadly attacks in northern parts of Nigeria.
