Retired Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria,Tunde Lemo said he can still succeed his boss,Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as CBN Governor.Lemo, a former managing director of Wema Bank of Nigeria retired Friday 10 January 2014.He said the fact that he retired from CBN does not disqualify him if the Presidency think he is the best man for the job. He said a former deputy governor had been appointed in the past.
Lemo is a high profile financial expert and he is well connected within Nigeria and foreign business circuits.He graduated from the department of Accountancy from University of Nigeria,Nsukka in first class division.He also attended the advanced management programme at Wharton College,University of Pennysyvania,Philadephia,United States.
Lemo served three successive CBN governors namely, Joseph Sanusi,Charles Soludo and Lamido Sanusi who is due for retirement by June this year.
