Simone Gbagbo, the former first lady of Ivory Coast has been sentenced to 20 years in jail. Gbagbo was convicted after role in post election violence that took place in the French speaking West African country.
Justice Tahirou Dembele who presided over the case of Mrs. Gbagbo said court was convinced beyond reasonable doubts that the accused person took part in act that was dangerous to national security group, sponsoring rebel groups. However, lawyer to Gbagbao said he is deeply ashamed about the justice system in the country.
