MAIDUGURI—Troops involved in the Operation Lafiya Dole in the North-East weekend foiled Boko Haram attacks on Adagali town in Adamawa; and Limankara village in Borno State, just as they arrested three Chadian Boko Haram terrorists.
Limankara is a border village with Cameroon, and 151 kilometres south of Maiduguri, the state capital.
Army Public Relations Officer of the 28 Task Force Brigade Mubi, Major Akintoye Badare disclosed this Sunday in a statement issued to journalists in Maiduguri.
He said the foiling which lasted for over two hours, resulted in the arrests of three Chadian Boko Haram terrorists at Madagali and Limankara.
He said before the attempted attacks, troops of 192 Battalion 26 Task Force killed six Boko Haram terrorists in clearance operations at Dissa and Patawe villages of Borno state.
Badare added that the terrorists were fleeing into communities bordering Sambisa Forest that was captured last December by the military.
