PORT HARCOURT-The family of one Mr. Doubra Ogbe, a suspect that was arrested in connection with the murder of ex-militant leader, Mr. Soboma George, has called for the release of their son.
Ogbe was arrested in 2010 following his alleged involvement in the killing of Soboma and is now standing trial before a Rivers State High Court, sitting in Port Harcourt.
The family has called on trial judge in the case to discharge and acquit their son, noting that he was innocent of the crime.
The call followed the arrest and parade of one Anthony Pepple and two others by the Police on Friday last week, who had allegedly confessed to the murder of Soboma.
Pepple, popularly known as Urban Gorilla, who was paraded alongside Shakeed Adekunle, a.k.a Black Devil, were arrested by the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team in April 17, 2017.
