No fewer than 50,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) are to benefit from a scholarship scheme by National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) .
The IDPs who are venerable children drawn from Borno ,Yobe ,Adamawa ,Benue and Cross Rivers states, are expected to commence a three years scholarship scheme using e-learning platform.
A press statement issued by Ben Onwudinjo, yesterday, said in order to ensure that all IDPs and vulnerable children attend formal school, the Praxis Catholic E-School For IDPs was given the digital capacity building center by the federal government to teach benefiting IDPs and vulnerable children.
According to the statement, all the subject, topics, lessons and examination modules of all post basic classes have already been fully installed for the children in the praxis Catholic e-school by the federal government though the National Information Technology Development Agency.
He also lauded the efforts of the federal government and the Praxis Catholic E-School for IDPs. The centre according to the statement is providing quality education for vulnerable children and is helping to eradicate illiteracy in Nigeria.
