Ihezue Ugochi Mitchel, has emerged as winner of the 2017 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria MBGN pageant.
Ugochi who represented Kebbi State defeated thirty-five other contestants to become the 30th MBGN pageant. Organized by the Silverbird Group, the event held at the Eko Hotels & Suites on Friday night had live musical performances by Harrysong, Olamide and soul diva, Asa.
Miss Plateau, Oyo and Bayelsa emerged as first, second and third runners-up respectively. Miss Yobe won the amity award, model of the year went to Miss Kebbi and best traditional costume went to Miss Sokoto. The theme for this year’s MBGN was ‘Say No To Domestic Violence’.
Ugochi who is a model is signed to Elizabeth Elohor Aisien’s Beth Model Management takes over the crown from the 2015 MBGN winner, Unoaku Anyadike. As the new queen, Ugochi represents Nigeria at the Miss World beauty contest. Miss Plateau, Winfrey Okolo will represent Nigeria at the Miss Tourism Beauty Pageant; Miss Sokoto, Stephanie Agbasi represents Nigeria at the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant and Miss Oyo, Emmanuella Yaboh, also will represent the country in the Miss ECOWAS Pageant.
