OLEH—A chieftain of the  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Mr. Fred Toje, has charged young  people who have attained voting age in Isokoland to turn out en-masse to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

Fielding questions from newsmen at Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state, Toje stressed the need for those who have attained the age of 18 and others who were yet to be registered to take advantage of the exercise to enable them exercise their franchise in 2019 and in future elections in the country.

He said: “This exercise is very important and if the people take it seriously, it will enable them to choose who to rule them and their areas will also get more voting units and even more constituencies.

“Apart from that, it will also help attract development to our area because if the government knows our voting strength, they will do something about our plight.”
