Vibrant and brilliant Iyin Ekiti born former Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social development in Lagos state, Opeyemi Michael Bamidele could be said to have adopted a low profile for several months. Little or nothing has been heard from his end since his failed attempt to become the governor of his state, Ekiti, during the last governorship elections.
The graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and University of Benin, Barrister Bamidele may be set to return to center stage, according to information reaching us. The former member of the House of Representatives will clock 54 on the 29th of this month and invites are said to have been sent to guests to join him in Ekiti state to mark the anniversary.
The event, we gathered, is expected to re-launch MOB, as Opeyemi is fondly called to political limelight as it is said to have been designed with political coloration. This is because it has been confirmed that Ope still has his gaze on the governorship seat of Ekiti state, even as the incumbent’s tenure is slated to come to an end next year.
