General Gabriel Olonisakin

According to the government, China is one country that has recorded tremendous success in its bid to curb the menace.

Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, who made the appeal in Abuja at an event to mark the 90th anniversary of the founding of Chinese People’s Liberation Army, PLA, noted that China was far ahead of Nigeria in the area of cyber crime control and will be in a better position to assist Nigeria.

Olonisakin, represented by Director, Defence Information, Maj-Gen. John Enenche, noted that China was responsible for the training of some of the best hands in Nigeria’s military.

Senior Colonel Wang Runxu, Military, Naval and Air Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, said the relationship between both countries had “unceasingly developed for decades.”

Runxu recalled several visits made by the governments of both countries and added that such visits promoted the relationship between Nigeria and China.
