DAMATURU—Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria has condemned the recent killing of many pastoralists, including women and children, in Taraba State.
It also asked the Federal Government to bring the perpetrators of the act to justice, since nobody is above the law.
In a statement by the National President, Khalil Bello, the group said it rejects “in totality and condemned in unmistakable terms the anti-grazing law passed by Benue State government and the one under process in Taraba State.
“This is because the law negates the Nigeria constitution which provides for movement of livestock without any hindrance or deprivation by any government or individual in the federation.”
The association also has called on government to preserve the already existing grazing reserves and cattle routes to avoid the encroachment on farms by herdsmen.
