How sister almost disrupted Medplus Joke Bakare’s 50th birthday Party

Joke Bakare, the revered woman of substance behind the popular Pharmaceutical chains, MedPlus was a belle of gold yesterday, Sunday, November 5th, 2017. The highly successful Pharmacist and wife of the Managing Director of Caldwell Nigeria Limited, a flourishing real estate firm was the host of honour as she walked elegantly to the golden league of wealthy women in 50s.

Basking on her camaraderie as one of Nigeria’s leading female entrepreneurs of note, the humble and unassuming elegant stallion believed it was time to celebrate, though not that kind of Lagos celebrities’ noise making gathering, so the newest Dame of 50 settled for a stylishly quiet assemblage of the powers that be, big and mighties, the who’s who of the society, catalogue of achievers and yellow pages of business world to serenade her on her big day.

You would noticed that, no pictures have been flying around like those flash in the pans celebrities but Enquirermag can tell you for free that madam MedPlus’ big 50 was quite an impressively big party that had people of high calibre in attendance. Tranquilly classical and flamboyantly trendsetting, the symphonic bash that ran for two days hosted the creme de la creme of business world to a private ‘old school’ disco party at the pool side of the highbrow Eko Pearl Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 while the King of Juju Beats, King Sunny Ade thrilled her upwardly mobile guests at same venue yesterday, Sunday November 5th.

Like every other Owambe parties, Joke did not burden anyone with a price tagged Aso Ebi but requested her guests to be elegantly floral for her big 50, the likes of billionaire Femi Otedola, Dangote, Senate President and wife, Bukola and Toyin Saraki, Minister of Power, Babatunde Raji Fashola and wife, Dame Abimbola and a host of other topflight movers and shakers were at the disco party to enjoy themselves and honour one of their own.

Bubble burst however when on the D-day, her sister, Yinka the former wife of Guaranty Trust Bank’s ED, Akin George Taylor threw caution to the wind to embarrass one of the guests. Sad enough, her victim was not just an ordinary guest, it is one of her in-laws, Muyiwa Bakare’s younger brother and his wife.

According to the information, Yinka who bore 2 kids-a boy and girl for her former husband, Akin George Taylor before being shown the way out of her matrimonial house was said to have worn this puffy-sleeves-toga as if she were actually the one that bankrolled the menu and all paraphernalia of the 7-star reception all day throughout the Sunday event.

Enquirermag was told that, no sooner the families left the Catholic Church on Musa Yar-Adua Street, Victoria Island where they had the thanksgiving service before the lavish reception where King Sunny Ade performed than trouble began. We were told that, the celebrant’s sister, Yinka had impolitely asked one of Muyiwa’s brothers and his wife to leave a certain seat for her to sit, ”her behaviour that day was so rude, how can she asked someone to stand up from the seat for her”, the source told us.

Her victim, who’s Muyiwa Bakare’s younger brother was so devastated that he almost shed tears but had to wear his gentleman attitude by letting sleeping dogs lie to allow guests enjoy their day in peace.

Our efforts to get in touch with the mother of 2, and erstwhile wife of Akin George Taylor, Yinka nee Jare Alade for her side of the story was abortive as we couldn’t reach her MTN line that ended with 238 as at the time of filing this report.
