You’re Alone, Bauchi APC Youth Leader Tells Lawmaker

By Uba Gaya, Abuja –

Kabiru Zubairu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Leader of Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State, has berated the Member representing his constituency in the state assembly, Hajiya Maryam Garba Bagel over what he described as a denigrating statement on Governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State.

Hajiya Maryam accused the governor of imprudence and foolhardy utilisation of bailout funds and disloyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari.

While disagreeing with the lawmaker, Zubairu told newsmen in Abuja  that the action of the female lawmaker  was laughable, myopic and brazen script acting with no substance.

He said Governor Abubakar has judiciously utilised all the trenches of the bailout and Paris Club refunds to offset   salary arrears and funded infrastructural development.

Zubairu recalled that the governor inherited empty treasury and huge salary backlog, but said the entire salary backlog had been cleared and the state now pays   workers’ salaries regularly and that   the state has become a beehive of infrastructural development.

On the loyalty to Mr President, the APC youth leader said if there’s any governor who has shown allegiance and total commitment in entrenching good policies and strategies of the APC as engraved in its manifesto to President Muhammadu Buhari, it is Governor Abubakar.

“Therefore, we’re calling on the   member to quickly retract her comments or face recall as we cannot fold our hands while noticing some minorities dividing our party and causing confusion by disrespecting our leader, Governor Abubakar.

“We trust his leadership style, we’re convinced and we will continue to accord his administration all it requires from us. He was appointed to chair the APC campaign committee for the Anambra gubernatorial election and that shows the trust and confidence PMB has in Gov. Abubakar,” Zubairu added.
