ABU Lagos Alumni donates food items to Pacelli School for the Blind

Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Alumni Association, Lagos chapter, has donated food items and toiletries to Pacelli School for the blind and partially sighted children at the premises of the school located at Ogulana drive, Surulere, Lagos.

DONATION: Mrs. Ahmadu (5th left); Barr. Abdulsalam (3rd left); Mr. Oladipo (6th right); Rev. Sr. Onyeneri (7th right), with the children and other members of the association during the presentation of the food items in Lagos.

The visit was led by the chairman of the association, Mrs. Justina Aladi Ahmadu, who is also the Comptroller of Immigration, Lagos State command.

Receiving the items, Principal of the School, Rev. Sr. Jane Onyeneri (HCJM), expressed appreciation, saying: ‘’I feel great, and happy that ABU Alumni has identified with us and come to share with the blind, there is no better words to use than to say God bless you all.” She appealed to others to wmulate ABU Alumni, noting that the population of the school is 140 children living in the hostels.   She also thanked Lagos State governor, Mr.   Akinwunmi Ambode, who  donated a  bus to the school.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Alumni, Mrs. Ahmadu, empathised with the children, saying: “We must love and feel for them while hoping for immortality which is the utmost price. Therefore, I call on all and sundry to join hands in putting smiles on the faces of the downtrodden.”
