By Peter Egwuatu

The family of Chief Emmanuel Oyedele Ashamu has berated the encroachment on its N700 billion landed property located in various parts of the country, just as it has appointed Messrs DHTL, Capital Management Limited as manager and auditor of the property.

The family noted that the locations of the landed property include states such as Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Cross River, Rivers, Gombe among others.

According to a statement jointly signed by Omotunde Victor Ashamu, Samuel Ishola Ashamu and Suwebat Abdullalin (nee Ashamu): “We frown at the continuing encroachment, illegal trespass, land grabbing activities and forgery of the family documents, to sell, enter into contract of sale and process of documentation with the inappropriate authorities on the land belonging to the Estate of Chief Emmanuel Oyedele Ashamu.”

The statement stressed further that the Ashamju family warned the general public from dealing with any agent or representatives on any property belonging to the family in areas such as Anthony, Maryland, Gbagada, Millennium Estate, Atunrase Estate, Ikeja, Isolo among others in Lagos State.

The statement decried the continued harassment and threat to life of members of the Ashamu family and beneficiaries by illegal trespassers, land grabbers and their illegal agents operating on the family land without any proof of titles.

Accordingly, the family has issued a caution note to members of the public to steer clear of the landed property as stated above or face prosecution, while advising all illegal occupants on the family property to vacate within fourteen (14) days of the statement or regularize all documentations within the same period.
