Mr. Fikayo Ogundipe, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), tolet.com.ng, on Saturday, said that his organisation has organised the Home and Property Festival to curb the excesses of middle men who always demanded outrageous fees from property buyers.
Ogundipe told newsmen on the sideline of the ongoing festival in Lagos that its aim was to bridge the gap between property buyers, builders and industry key players.
He said that the festival would be organised yearly being the only property festival in Nigeria.
According to him, the festival is to create the ideal environment for land developers to meet with manufacturers and key distributors of building and construction materials through networking and interaction.
“ After Nigeria came out of economic recession, we realised that the real estate remains one of the ventures that developed thick skin against the storms of economic imbalance.
“The festival is also channeled at resolving the effect of the recession and bringing together stakeholders of domestic communities.
“ This is the maiden edition and in subsequent versions, I anticipate huge sales for the exhibitors and a successful outcome of the festival,’’ he said.
Ogundipe said that he experienced some logistics hitch during the planning of the festival and had fears in the possibility of pulling huge crowd to see what the exhibitors would display.
He said that that accounted for the choice of the two venues used for the festival which were : Ikeja City Mall and Lekki Circle Mall.
The organiser of the festival appreciated the various sponsors and promised to make 2018 festival bigger and better than 2017.
