The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Youth Leader, Austin Okai has challenged the Kogi State Governor, Mr Yahaya Bello not to promote President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration alone, but he should invite him for projects commissioning as it is done in other states of the federation.
Okai said this in Abuja, on Thursday, while speaking to newsmen on the continuous clamour by Kogi governor for President Buhari’s reelection in 2019, saying it is a clear case of a failed government in Kogi.
Comrade Okai said: ‘…for close to two years into Yahaya Bello’s administration no single project or infrastructural development and even the politically motivated road projects were awarded to boost the living standard of the people of the state by this government.
The youth leader lamented that the style of the present administration that had denied the people the basic necessities of life by not providing social infrastructure and deliberate refusal to pay civil servants and pensioners.
Okai said it was wrong for the governor to subject the state to untold hardship saying that ‘Governor Bello should not relying on President Buhari re-election to cajole Kogians I dared him to carry out people oriented programs and projects that will attract the invitation of the President as it is obtainable in other states of the federation to justify huge funds made available to Kogi in the last 23 months.
‘He should know that Kogi’s politics has gone beyond mere propaganda and media hype to cheapen the kogi public.’
