NBA recognises Anyaso’s contributions to community devt, empowerment

An Aba born billionaire businessman and Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Ceecon Energy Oil and Gas Limited, Mr. Chima Desmond Anyaso has once again been recognized by the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, for his outstanding contributions and efforts at community development and grass root empowerment with numerous capacity building, healthcare support and child education programs in Abia State and around Nigeria.

The award was presented at the 2017 Annual Dinner and Award ceremony of the Nigerian Bar Association, Aba Chapter at the Hotel Terminus Complex in Aba.

In attendance were prominent Jurists, Lawyers, Senior Advocates of Nigeria SAN, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweredmadu, Speaker of the House of Representative Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Governor Nyesom Wike of River State, among other eminent dignitaries were guests.

Presenting the award, the NBA, Aba Chapter said “in recognition of your outstanding contributions to our society using the Chima Anyaso Foundation to care for the vulnerable and the less privileged, and for your free medical outreach that has help so many, we the NBA Aba Chapter resolve to Honor you with the NBA Aba Distinguished Award”

Chima Anyaso through the Chima Anyaso Foundation has contributed to improving the lives of many indigent citizens of Abia State through various life changing grassroots initiatives that are aimed at reducing poverty, empowering the youths, ensuring that young girls and boys of school age have access to quality education and skill acquisition programs with start-up incentives for young women, as well as free education for less privileged children under the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation, a free school and free feeding arrangement for indigent children. Other are free health support and donation of medical equipment and drugs to hospitals, cash donations to orphanages, old people’s homes and the internally displaced people homes, IDP camps within Nigeria.

After receiving the award, Chima Anyaso said “with this award the NBA Aba chapter has demonstrated that it is a body committed to good works and I thank them. I use this opportunity to call on other well-meaning Nigerians and Abians to rally round to help our State and Country move forward.”
Chima Anyaso, who also received the Face of Abia Award at a different event, is a committed philanthropist who is a proud recipient of numerous national and international awards.

Among them is the Forbes rated African Achievers Community Impact award under the Chairmanship of British Member of Parliament Diane Abbott received at the United Kingdom House of Parliament, for life Changing Community development initiatives. Also the Democracy Person Award at the 2017 Democracy Heroes Award in Abuja for his roles in promoting democratic values in Nigeria, among others.
