Celestial Church of Christ members from all sides visited the Father of Femi Osibona in Ikenne on Friday. The visit was led by a former Editor of Thisday Newspapers, Dr Kunle Hamilton, the shepherd of CCC Ketu International Parish, Tosho Oshoffa, the convener of annual Luli Concert, Mr Gbenga Daniel Adebayo. Deborah Oshoffa and publisher of Celestial Online (CNO),Micheal Alonge were also present. Other members from various parishes also joined the convoy.
Niyi Tabiti gathered that the visit brought unity as members from different interest/faction within the church came together on tour to commiserate with Pa Osibona at Ikenne on the loss of his billionaire son and a committed member of CCC worldwide.
Osibona popularly known as FourScore was killed in his 21 Storey building collapse. Other persons also died in the building.
Celestial Church of Christ was founded in 1947 by Pa SBJ Oshoffa, Nigerian with Methodist Church background living in Dahomey now known as Republic of Benin. The church was first established in Nigeria in the early 50s by egun people living and fishing in Makoko,Yaba. Oshoffa started visiting Nigeria to see members, pray fo people, see vision and also perform miracles. The likes of Rev Abiodun Bada and PA Ajanlekoko, Pa Jesse were part of the earliest members of the church in Nigeria. Oshoffa finally relocated to Nigeria in 1976.
