By Bola Ola: The Ogun State Government has commissioned a 5.5km road constructed and donated by popular philanthropist,Chief Rilwan Olofin of Omo Olofin foundation.
Rilwan Olofin the CEO R-Olofin Construction & Co Ltd said he constructed the road as part of his personal contribution to his community in Okemeji Odogbolu community in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.The road links other adjoining communities and it will be beneficial for the purpose of human and vehicular movement within and outside the area.

The commissioning was part of activities lined up to mark the 15 years anniversary of the Omo Olofin foundation.
While speaking at the event, Ogun State Governor Adedapo Oluseun Abiodun, re-emphasized the need for participation of the private sector in the development of the state and the country in general. The governor who did not hide his appreciation towards the gesture of Chief Rilwan Olofin and his foundation in touching the lives of the society, noted that the country need more of such gestures to move forward, as government alone cannot meet all the needs of different communities.
In his remarks, Chief Rilwan Olofin said his gesture was a continuous exercise, as his target is to touch more lives through his foundation.
