• Leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo has called for Bola Tinubu’s probe
• Adebanjo said this in reaction to the allegation raised in chief Bisi Akande, in his book, My Participations
• Also, the Yoruba leader also took time to explain how he built his house in Lekki, refuting Akande’s claim that Tinubu built it for him
Finally, Chief Ayo Adebanjo has reacted to an allegation made by Chief Bisi Akande, in his book, My Participations. Akande, a former interim chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the book claimed that the national leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu, built a house for Adebanjo in Lekki, Lagos.
In his reaction, Adebanjo, leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, denied this claim in a press statement, Sahara Reporters reports.
According to him, he only responded to set the records straight as there had been pressure on him not to reply a “fool”.
The property in question is at Plot 25, Ayo Adebanjo Close, Off Adebayo Doherty Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State.
Adebanjo, therefore, called on the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate his position on the matter, adding that the EFCC should also be authorized to investigate Tinubu’s source of wealth for him to have allegedly built properties for Akande and bankrolled the elections involving the APC in the South-West and President Muhammadu Buhari at the national level.
