Top market leader and politician, Chief Mrs Abiba Oluwatuyi has congratulated a political associate and Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima. Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced his choice of Shettima as running mate in the coming general elections in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Oluwatuyi described Shettima as a nation builder and committed democrat. She said as a tested and trusted former Governor of Borno state, she is very confident that Shettima’s leadership experience in politics and banking will ensure success in the next administration when Bola Ahmed Tinubu is eventually elected the President.
Oluwatuyi, a wealthy businesswoman and market leader is a firm supporter of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) that produces incumbent President Mohammadu Buhari.
Meanwhile, Shettima announced that all hands are on deck to ensure APC will not only win the presidential election but also the hearts of Nigerians.
Shettima was born in 1966, he obtained bachelor and master degrees in Agriculture Economics from the Universities of Maiduguri and Ibadan, respectively. He rose to the position of General Manager in Zenith Bank. He resigned to become a commissioner in Borno state. He later contested and won two term elections as Governor of Borno state.
